Okay, yes I take the occasional review but that is only because I want to. If I find I don't want to write about a product I receive I won't. That might not make me popular with PR peeps, but would they rather have a half ass review or a negative review? At the end of the day I like free stuff and of the hundred review requests I receive each week you are lucky if I take one of those opportunities.
So the other day I was thinking of all the things that make me a no-name, and will continue to keep me in my small blogger shell. Besides what I stated above this is what I came up with....
- I think Nutella is disgusting.
Happy Monday!
Somewhat, very regularly, in a semi-stalker kinda way submitted to:
I agree with your review policy as well. I only do the ones that I want, but will reply to let others know that it is just not right for me. Just tried Nutella for the first time the other day. I am not a fan either. Of course, I am not a chocolate fan - so that probably had something to do with it. The boys all really like it.
ReplyDeleteI'll never be a big name blogger cause no one ever sends me free stuff to review. I don't know why. I've always joked that my loyalty can easily be bought. Ha!
ReplyDeleteBut I have to respectfully disagree about Nutella. I'm in love with it. Especially Nutella and banana sammiches.
I hate self promotion and all that monitizing bs and all the other garbage that happens with bloggers. what ever happened to "I like you so I'll read your stuff"??
ReplyDeleteI like you
and I read your stuff.
GASP! You don't like nutella? We should kick you out of the blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteHehe.
I used to do 'sponsored' posts - I got a free product and a decent payment on top of it (not BlogHer) but then I decided I was compromising way too much and just because my kids liked the DVD's, I was running out of things to say.
So I stopped. And yes, I'm missing the money a bit, but meh. I'd prefer to review things I love, because I love them, rather than things I don't like, because my kid does and the money is good.
And now I've rambled all over your blog. Sorry. Over from Anna.
